A Kitchen Born from Passion

The Great Indian Food was born in 2009 from a single, powerful belief — that vegetarian Indian cooking is one of the world's greatest culinary traditions, and it deserves to be celebrated with the same reverence as any other.

Founder and Head Chef Arjun Mehta grew up watching his grandmother cook in a small kitchen in Jaipur. The aromas of freshly ground spices, slow-simmering dals, and tandoor-fresh breads became the foundation of everything he would later create.

Today, 15 years and 50,000 guests later, that same spirit lives in every dish we serve. Our team of chefs brings together expertise from across India — Punjab, Kerala, Rajasthan, Bengal — to offer a menu that is as diverse as the subcontinent itself.

What We Stand For

Our Values

100% Vegetarian

Every dish on our menu is purely vegetarian — crafted with the finest seasonal produce, dairy, and legumes. No compromises.

Made with Love

Our recipes are passed down through generations. Each dish carries the warmth of a home kitchen and the precision of a master chef.

Authentic Flavours

We source whole spices directly from Indian farms and grind them fresh daily — because real flavour cannot be bottled.

Heritage & Craft

From Mughlai biryanis to South Indian curries, we celebrate the full breadth of India's extraordinary culinary heritage.
